Essential Question:

- How does neuroscience give credibility to Psychology as a science?
Key Questions:
- What are examples of learning through nature or nurture?
- Give a real world example (NOT found in the text book) of a supporting argument and a negative argument for both the nature and nurture side of the debate.
- How do the parts of a neuron play a part in learning?
- What are the parts of the brain and what kind of information do they hold?
- Describe the different hemispheres of the brain that have different functions.
Relevance to the real world:
- By knowing the way we learn, it can help us later in life to use certain strategies in other classes.
- Also, this information can be given to other teachers so they can use this as a resource.
Student-self management of learning:
- If the teacher was a facilitator, students could learn by reading out of a textbook and taking notes. They could also help each other teach and learn things others might not understand.
I'd say skip the crossword--primarily because it is a tool of memorization (think about it--you are merely identifying terms by matching it with a description or definition)
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of lab work! ...I'd make this a more integral part :)
