2. How is the human mind faulty in remembering information? Explain how that could impact the construction of your learning strategy.
According to the short term memory decay, verbal information may be quickly forgotten unless it is rehearsed. This shows that our learning strategy needs to have repetition and rehearsal in order to retain the information. Our brain can encode information in three different ways- visual encoding, acoustic encoding, and semantic encoding. In our learning strategy we can incorporate different ways to use acoustic encodings because it enhances the memorability and seeming truth of rhyming aphorisms. Ebbinghaus’ retention curve could also help in creating our learning strategy because the curve shows that the amount remembered depends on the time spent learning. Our learning strategy needs to take ample amount of time in order to retain all of the information needed.
